As a Principal Technical Consultant in New Zealand , you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to making possibilities happen in the payments industry! This purpose of this ROLE is: The purpose of the role is to ensure new and existing ACI customers receive a first-class delivery service in accordance with customer expectations and contractual agreements. Primarily responsible for the identification/development of solutions for customers using company products, outsourced solutions and/or proprietary tools/techniques implemented by others. Defines customer needs and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project. Viewed by customers as a consultant. Performance is typically evaluated based on utilization, (i.e., billable hours). A typical day at ACI for a Principal Technical Consultant is: One of the highest-level individual contributors, analyzes client's business needs, integrates client's business strategies and recommends appropriate information technology solutions utilizing ACI's methodologies. Conducts analysis of corporate objectives, critical success factors, business functions and processes. Plans, integrates and manages the implementation of new technology. As one of the highest-level technical experts, performs a variety of duties involved with supporting large, strategic and/or multiple projects. Significantly supports the regional/product's business development and sales support efforts for a particular territory, industry or account. Has superior technical and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of product set and business knowledge. Assists the customer with their implementation efforts as necessary to ensure successful product adoption. Anticipates the implications and consequences of risks or business situations and takes appropriate action to prepare for possible mitigation actions and or contingencies. Has the ability to identify information needed to clarify a risk or business situation, seeking that information from appropriate sources and uses skillful questioning to draw out the information. Acts as a mentor, coach or trainer to consultants by sharing business expertise. Perform other duties as assigned. Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to ACI code of ethics and global information security. Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant studies Minimum 10 years of relevant experience Knowledgeable in the payments industry Experience in BASE24 classic or BASE24-eps project implementation. Proficient in ISO 8583 message formats and Global Card Schemes e.g. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, etc. Understands transaction security/EMV concepts, experience with HSMs like Thales, Eracom, Atalla. Extensive experience with card schemes simulators, e.g. VTS, Mastercard simulators, JTS, etc. Experience with testing in large-scale projects involving ATMs (NCR, Diebold, etc), POS (Hypercom) devices, and various global card schemes/switches. Excellent problem-solving skills. Experience in BASE24-eps project implementation. Experience in customer requirement gathering and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to define and clarify technical tasks to implement a project.
