Principal Specialist - Standards and Quality An opportunity for someone who has strong standards and assurance experience within the public sector. This is a permanent position and can be based in Wellington, Palmerston North, Auckland, or Christchurch.

This Principal Specialist is part of our Standards and Quality team. The team's purpose is to ensure that Transport Services is a learning business group that is continuously improving and consistently achieving high-quality outcomes. As Principal Specialist, your role is to provide leadership, support, and specialist expertise in the establishment, administration, stewardship, and implementation of our standards, quality management, assurance, and continuous improvement function.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience in standards and assurance, preferably within the public sector.
Experience in quality management, continuous improvement, business and technical process design, implementation, change management, and delivery.
Proven track record that demonstrates project management capability and the ability to enable the delivery of complex strategic outcomes through others.
Demonstrated ability in analyzing data and trends, drawing conclusions on the findings, and ensuring that information is accurately interpreted and disseminated.
High level of customer service.
Sound knowledge of infrastructure delivery, coupled with ideally a good understanding of the transport system, transport construction and maintenance, and roading procurement in New Zealand.
