The Infrastructure and Place Division is responsible for delivery of the infrastructure capital programme, together with renewals and maintenance of all existing transport infrastructure assets.
The purpose of the Principal Project Manager - Level Crossings is to manage projects that support the delivery of rail level crossings capital projects.
The role includes design management, stakeholder management, procurement, contract management, and construction management. The role will work closely with the Rail Services Group in PTAM and the Traffic Operations Group in CNP, ensuring disruption is minimized, customer communications are streamlined, and operational requirements are achieved. Multiple smaller or less complex projects may be managed by this role.
Key Responsibilities:Establishing and leading project teams (both from within AT and external) for complex projects to enable the successful delivery of AT business objectives and optimize time, cost, and quality project performance outcomes.Leading and monitoring project teams in applying the project management principles, processes, procedures, and reporting requirements outlined in the AT Project Management Framework and providing expert advice on legislation, regulations, guidelines, and standards.Ensuring project strategies, plans, and activities incorporate overall organizational and workplace safety.Leading input into internal and external reporting and requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in relation to all required reporting.Leading complex tender processes, implementing procurement strategies, and effective governance arrangements to monitor provider, supplier, and contractor performance.Minimum Requirements:Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.Project Management qualifications - PRINCE2 Foundation and/or Practitioner, PMP.10 years' experience in transport project management.5 years' experience with the rail industry.Experience in the design of transport/infrastructure projects, associated tendering processes, and project delivery.At AT, we embrace inclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued, and supported, inclusive of our differences.
