Principal Junior School

With an operational structure of a Junior (1-6), a Middle (7-10) and a Senior (11-13) school, we are seeking to appoint a new Principal to lead our Junior School, commencing at an agreed time in 2025. The successful candidate must be an experienced educational leader who is passionate about teaching, learning and the holistic development of our students. The appointee will be innovative and dynamic with excellent interpersonal skills. The salary package will reflect the high level of importance the Board places on this key position within the College.As a member of the College Executive and Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will have extensive senior leadership experience, and must be able to demonstrate:A passion for and an understanding of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, and independent education in New ZealandA breadth of leadership across strategic, organisational and operational outcomesExperience managing a team of people, with the ability to support their development within a cohesive unit, and inspire them to excelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationshipsThat they are innovative and dynamic and able to drive and move comfortably with changeAbsolute commitment to the pursuit of excellence and a willingness to frequently "go the extra mile" to ensure outcomesSuperior organisational skills, and the ability to work on a variety of tasks concurrentlyEmpathy with the College special character, philosophy and valuesIf you are motivated by the prospect of being a part of a dynamic teaching environment and would enjoy the challenges of this exciting role, then we would be delighted to hear from you.
