We seek a skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team.   Role Overview: Key Responsibilities Highly Technical Problem Solver: Optimising and refactoring an existing code base to improve the scalability and maintainability of a product. Hands-On Development: Writing high-quality and efficient code C#, SQL with large datasets and other languages with a test-driven development mindset.Architectural Design: Design and oversee architectural decisions for existing and future products, ensuring they are scalable, secure, configurable and maintainable.Mentoring: Conduct code reviews and mentor developers.  Cross-functional collaboration: Able to collaborate with the Principal Architect, developers and DBAs to assist with technical design decisions.Continuous Learning and Knowledge Sharing: Stay updated with the latest technologies and share knowledge within the team and the broader engineering group.Skills: Technical Expertise: Proficiency in .NET Framework, .NET Core, and related technologies. Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.Experience: Extensive experience in software development with a focus on .NET related technologies, SQL, BI & Analytics and previous senior engineering roles.Design Improvements: Experience in refactoring complex logic from SQL to C#.Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor other developers.About DataTorquue: At DataTorque we are dedicated to driving significant business transformation for governments worldwide through technology.
