As a Principal Engineer - Delivery Engineering , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical landscape and capabilities of the platform team and wider organisation. You will lead in identifying, and championing technologies and approaches, ensuring they are leveraged to drive innovation, quality, and efficiency.
This role demands a balance between strategic foresight, solution design and hands-on expertise, with a focus on driving operational excellence and building collaborative technical teams.
You will support high performance and technical excellence across a team of engineers to deliver end-to-end technology capabilities that are utilised by Value Stream and Centre of Excellence (CoE) teams to create greater member value and customer outcomes.
About You:
This role requires someone with experience leading designing, requirements gathering, prioritisation, hands-on implementation, testing, operating and supporting applications and products in a mix vendor and in-house applications across multiple environments is essential.
Extensive SDLC expertise across project, product, and operational domains, with hands-on experience in complex, multi-platform integrations.
Skilled in microservices and micro-frontend architectures, event-driven systems, and UI component libraries.
Proficient in integrating SaaS/PaaS solutions, hybrid cloud/on-prem delivery, and FinOps aware.
Experienced in Agile, DevOps, distributed architectures, and CI/CD (e.g. ADO, Jenkins, Git, ArgoCD).
Skilled in designing, developing, and integrating complex web-based architectures.
Proven ability in team leadership, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for large-scale challenges, and effective communicator across technical levels.
