The role will see you as an integral part of the consent team, delivering customer and solution-focused planning and resource consenting services that align with the strategic goals of the council. As the Principal Planner, you will also play an integral part in the support and mentorship of the team, as well as taking the lead when it comes to the more complex aspects of the role.Other Duties IncludeBuild strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersEnsure all legislative obligations are met under the district plan and RMA 1991Mentoring more junior members of the team and providing peer reviewsParticipate in hearings and environmental court when neededAbout YouYou would ideally have 7+ years of experience within the consent planning space and ideally at least 2 of those years at a senior level.
