Rolleston, New ZealandReference: 6696113About the role:We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled Principal Asset Planning Advisor to lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies, providing expert advice on asset planning, demand modelling and operational plans and policies for the open spaces network. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Leadership team, stakeholders and cross functional teams to drive business outcomes. You will also:Manage and provide leadership to Activity and Long-Term Planning processes including the development and maintenance of an Open Spaces Activity Management Plans (AMP).Lead the development of key planning work streams including the review of the Play, Active Recreation and Sports Plan and provide input to open space plans and strategies.Lead development and updating of reserve management plans as required under the Reserves Act 1977. Provide advice on land-use resource consent applications to ensure the required levels of open space are provided to meet future demand and comply with the District Plan.Collaborate to drive continuous improvement in the Open Spaces activity, solving problems and finding ways to work smarter together.About you:You will use your technical skills to provide high quality asset planning advice related to Council's open spaces network that covers sports and recreation reserves, natural areas, townships reserves, playgrounds, cemeteries, forestry holdings and public toilets.
