Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Maori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Maori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Maori.
We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process.
As a principal analyst you will play a key role in enabling the commissioning team to make data driven people related decisions. You will take the lead on a wide range of analytical business support needs including investment planning, cost modelling, investment planning, health insights and performance and monitoring support. You will also play a strong mentorship role with other analysts within the wider national analytical function, supporting the capacity and capability of analysts to grow their skill sets across teams.
Nga pukenga me nga weako | Skills and experience A tertiary qualification in a relevant area. Significant experience scoping, collecting/extracting, analysing, forecasting and presenting health insights or health investment insights. Strong knowledge and experience applying quantitative statistical methods, frameworks, tools, and techniques to deliver insights. A high skill level and experience using one or more of the following (or similar) applications: Business Intelligence Visualisation Tools (Power BI/SQL/Excel). Ability to translate/experience translating analytical results and findings into a compelling narrative with a strong pre-equity focus. Experience writing business requirements documents and technical specifications for each report.
