This team will work with business groups to set Kaupapa Maori strategy and outcomes for the?organisation, and?monitor how well the Ministry achieves those?kaupapa?Maori outcomes.?? Based on monitoring and insight, the?principal will support the manager?to?ensure?Tumatakokiri?identifies?the most effective ways to best lift the Ministry's performance in achieving?kaupapa?Maori outcomes.
This includes ensuring we have the right governance systems, strategy,?policy?and tools, and ensuring that all staff have the necessary technical capability.??Some of this work will be achieved through collaboration with other performance monitoring teams through the Ministry.???? ?Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience Demonstrated experience in strategic and systems thinking, both at an organisational and system level Leads networking and 'joining dots' across an organisation's core work streams and?deliverables, synthesizing data and intelligence from across the system and networks?to set the organisation's strategic objectives and performance targets.
Has experience in integrating and prioritisation of complex work programmes aligned?to an organisational strategy and a reporting and performance framework.
Experience in diplomacy and negotiation in areas related to performance and?prioritisation across an organisation and have the ability to influence key decision makers across the organisation and beyond into the wider system and networks Proven ability to lead complex cross-governmental policy development and/or?implementation programmes.
Proven ability to provide practical policy and strategic advice to solve/address?problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to tailor to different?audiences, delivering work efficiently and to a high standard.
Highly developed knowledge and practical skills and experience in: Treaty settlements, the Treaty settlement process and historical context Te Tiriti o Waitangi the Maori Crown relationship context? ? ? Demonstrated knowledge of te ao Maori perspectives and Maori rights and interests Possesses a deep understanding of the machinery of government, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in policy development.
Adept at mentoring and coaching junior team members, leading complex projects, and offering thought leadership through advanced expertise and experience.
Whanuitanga Utu?a-Tau | Salary range Salary range for this role is $140,222 to $170,467 pa. ?Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.?
