Principal Advisor Strategy and Governance This is an exciting new opportunity for a Principal Advisor to lead the facilitation of the Treasury strategy, and supporting and guiding senior leadership to help the implementation of the strategy through good governance.

You will be part of a newly shaped team working alongside Senior Leaders to support the Treasury deliver on its strategic direction and vision. This is an exciting time to join the Treasury and be at the leading edge of this work. In this role you will:
Lead the development of a system/framework which enables and supports the Treasury to ensure it delivers on its strategic direction
Identify any contextual changes that could mean the Treasury needs to rethink its strategy and operating model
Lead and facilitate strategic planning sessions with senior leaders to identify risk and opportunities to delivery
Work with the Principal Advisors, Planning & Performance and Risk & Compliance, in the Strategy and Performance team to develop a cohesive strategy to drive performance across the Treasury
Help shape and lift the performance of the wider organisation

The specific experience, skills, and qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:
Demonstrated experience at a senior level in the formation of organisational strategies and operating models
Proven experience in organisational governance
An understanding of Treasury's role in the wider public sector
Excellent communication and influencing skills including an ability to explain complex problems, develop succinct and accurate reports, deliver verbal presentations and to lead discussions with senior leadership
The ability to think independently and to drive outcomes
