Principal Advisor - Strategic Asset Management PlanningFollowing a review of Asset Management for Christchurch City Council, the Strategic Asset Management Team is recruiting for a number of key roles to shape the future of this city, our communities and the environment.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to join our team as Principal Advisor - Strategic Asset Management Planning. This key position plays a crucial role in supporting Asset Management projects and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Council. As stewards of community assets, we aim to manage them effectively for the benefit of current and future generations.
About the role: As Principal Advisor, you will promote and champion Council as a centre of excellence for the management, planning and implementation of systems, information and knowledge for Strategic Asset Management (SAM), by leading and developing our already high performing team.
This role spans both the technical and strategic aspects of Asset Management enabling the $14.2B infrastructure assets we own. Through engagement with Council business units, you will develop the strategic policy and planning processes as they relate to infrastructure asset management planning, and provide strategic level reporting and analysis to support these plans and policies.
To be successful in this role you will have: A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate disciplineMinimum 10 years of experience in a similar environmentExperience across asset management systems including SAP, GIS, RAMM, BIM, SCADA, infonet to name a fewExperience in the development of work programmes and establishment of business cases (including cost estimation)The ability to present confidently and convey strategic direction through asset management activitiesExcellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to establish visions and objectivesWhat's in it for you?
