Regulatory Stewardship, Regulation and MonitoringPermanent, Wellington based roleSalary midpoint of $140,938, actual salary dependent on your experienceKo wai matou - About usAt Manatu Hauora – Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance. We regulate the health sector and are the primary source of advice on health matters. The Regulatory Stewardship team is responsible for shaping and providing advice on the regulatory settings for the health system in order to improve health outcomes. The team will be leading oversight of the Ministries regulatory stewardship responsibilities aligned with its role in providing for effective regulation of health and care service providers, therapeutic products and services. The team will act to improve the delivery of current regulatory services in the Ministry as well as having an eye to the future regulatory opportunities and challenges.Ko ake mahi - What you'll doYou will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of health system regulation. Collaborating closely with the Chief Regulatory Officer and the Manager of Regulatory Stewardship, you will lead the strategic development and implementation of innovative approaches to regulatory stewardship. You will convene key leaders from across the Ministry and the broader health system to co-design a unified regulatory strategy, setting the direction and principles that will guide future regulatory activities.
