Principal Advisor Regulatory Assurance at Ministry of Health, Wellington Permanent | Wellington based | Full-time4 weeks annual leave | WFH equipment allowanceSalary midpoint of $140,938, actual salary dependent on your experienceKo ake mahi - What you'll do In this role, the Principal Advisor will be responsible for leading key aspects of the Regulatory Assurance work programme and providing high-quality, well-articulated advice and technical expertise.
You will work across the three portfolios of assisted dying services, abortion/sterilisation services, and the regulation of health professions.
A key part of the role will be stakeholder engagement, maintaining and supporting relationships with statutory committees, clinical panels, and advisory groups.
Minimum Requirements: A tertiary qualification in a related field such as health, law, or regulation.Advanced knowledge of the machinery of Government, risk management, and key issues impacting the New Zealand health and disability sector.Excellent advisory and communication skills with the ability to think critically, assimilate complex and often competing ideas logically, make sound decisions under pressure, and articulate them clearly, concisely, and coherently.Experience in managing high-profile and sensitive issues, influencing people, leading work programmes, change management, and facilitation.Experience in turning strategy into action, working as part of a team, and guiding and supporting others to implement successfully.A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, responsiveness to Maori and those in the disability sector, and working in partnership.Prior experience of providing secretariat support to committees and panels.Ko matou me to matou whare - What we bring Unlock your career potential at Manatu Hauora, where you'll discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
