Principal Advisor, Maori Capability and Engagement at Office of the Auditor-General, Wellington - WairarapaPrincipal Advisor, Maori Capability and EngagementThe Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake aims to improve trust and confidence in the public sector. The Auditor-General is the statutory auditor of all public organisations, playing a major part in ensuring that New Zealand's public sector remains one of the most trusted in the world. No other organisation, public or private, has the overview of the whole public sector that the Office of the Auditor-General has.The public sector has a range of obligations to support the Crown in its relationship with Maori and in upholding te Tiriti o Waitangi. At the Office of the Auditor-General, we help Parliament to hold the public sector to account for these obligations.We're looking for someone who is motivated by the opportunity to make a difference both within the Office and across the public sector. In this role, you'll be providing intellectual guidance, expert cultural advice, and support across the Office to help increase the impact of our mahi through effective engagement with Maori.You'll work closely with the Director, Maori Capability and Engagement to help lead the day-to-day delivery of Kia Tika, our te ao Maori strategy, and increase capability across the Office.
