This new digital case management system will help modernise the administration of justice in Aotearoa New Zealand. It will replace highly manual, time-consuming, paper-based processes, transforming the way people access and experience justice in New Zealand. Te Au Reka is a large, complex and unique programme, spanning courts and tribunals nationwide. Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity The Principal Advisor is a key role in the Te Au Reka Digital and Information team, responsible for ensuring the Te Au Reka solution aligns with both the Ministry and Judiciary's strategic direction for data and information. As the Principal Advisor, you will be the Data and Information specialist for Te Au Reka, and ensure that all data and information policies, practices and standards are clearly understood by the Te Au Reka team, suppliers, and key stakeholders. You will lead and provide oversite of the design and development of the Te Au Reka solution, to make sure that all appropriate standards are in place to maintain data accuracy, quality and integrity. Your role will require you to collaborate with other teams to identify and prioritise data and information requirements. You will also provide the wider Te Au Reka team with technical guidance and promote continuous improvement and learning. He pukenga tou/Skills and Experience To be successful in this position you will have: * Sound knowledge of data and information policy, practice and standards within the court or judicial environment. * Sound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to digital initiatives, such as data privacy and security. * Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners and suppliers. * Sound knowledge of information exchange methodologies, principles and standards including privacy and ethical considerations. * Sound knowledge of requirements for effective and appropriate information sharing. * Experience managing relationships, demonstrated by the establishment and maintenance of a range of effective networks within and across organisations.
