The portfolios include water, roading, amenities and public buildings and libraries.We strive to be an approachable, high performance, 'can do' team helping Council achieve its community outcomes by having an innovative solution focused approach, creating real value for our customers, providing high quality information to support decision making and meeting the needs of our customers.The Principal Advisor Asset Management will play an important role in helping to maximise the community outcomes for Councils assets by:Leading the design, creation, embedding, and championing the use of an industry best practice asset management approach.Providing expert advice on the best asset management system to use, associated business processes, and bringing into the organisation asset management disciplines to be used and understood by staff.Training and developing staff on the use and disciplines of asset management.The ideal candidate will have:Tertiary qualification in Asset Management or a related field and 5-8 years minimum appropriate experience, preferably with some of that time spent in local government.Experience in the analysis and presentation of information.High level knowledge in the relevant legislation and successful track record.Advanced user of Microsoft suite.Advanced user of asset management software.Experience working within a legislative and regulatory framework.Experience initiating and leading change to achieve organisation goals.Applicants must be eligible to work in NZ, with no restrictions.To apply for this role please submit your CV and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role via Seek.
