Te turanga - The role and your impact
The Principal Adviser - CoFR supports the Council of Financial Regulators to fulfil its purpose and achieve its objectives. This is a senior position that is involved with an incredible variety of work and provides the opportunity to work closely with the senior leaders of all our key domestic regulators and agencies.
This role is pivotal in providing coordination, strategic direction and advice, and engagement across the financial regulatory system. It has a direct influence on COFR's mahi and how we engage with and influence relevant Ministers and stakeholders across the financial system. So, we're looking for someone who is up for using their stakeholder influencing skills in a complex and fast-paced environment.
In this role, no two days will be the same and you'll be engaging and influencing stakeholders across the financial system and within COFR agencies. Your key responsibilities will be leading the development and delivery of a long-term strategic plan that supports CoFR's key strategies and outcomes; engaging and collaborating extensively across agencies on system-wide risks and issues to inform, progress, and deliver on CoFR's priority areas and forward agenda.

The Council of Financial Regulators (CoFR) - Kaunihera Kaiwhakarite Ahumoni - contributes to maximising New Zealand's sustainable, economic wellbeing through effective and responsive regulation of the financial system in New Zealand. This role is jointly engaged by the co-chairs of CoFR - RBNZ and FMA and has dual reporting lines to both organisations.

The anticipated appointment range for this role is $149,675 to $162,148 (actual salary will be dependent on your skills and experience).
