If you are looking to join a passionate team who places great value on putting people first, embedding Te Ao Maori in every-day practice, leading with kindness and achieving excellence together; then this may be the opportunity for you.About the roleAs the Primary (GP) Liaison Nurse Specialist (GPLCNS) you will contribute to nursing knowledge and skills in assessment of health needs, planning and delivery of nursing care, ensuring this aligns with Mental Health & Addiction (MH&A) Nursing Strategy principles, Feedback Informed Treatment and Te Ara Tauwhirotanga Model of Care.Part-time (0.8 FTE or 32 hrs. / week)The position is based in Rotorua but will, at times, incorporate service delivery in the Southern Lakes area.About youAbility to work with an equity focus, use evidence based outcomes tools to achieve and measure improved outcomes for Maori accessing care and safely transitioning to Primary care.Ability to provide advanced evidence based practice and support staff managing complex care needs in a community setting.Ability to lead and work on Quality Improvement Projects/Initiatives to ensure better outcomes for clients, with a particular focus on safe transitions & implementing Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT).Proven ability to undertake audits to identify gaps and drive improved practice.You must be a New Zealand Registered nurse eligible to work in Mental Health and have a current APC with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in an acute mental health setting.You must hold a master's degree or higher qualification or have proven evidence of attaining this qualification in the near future.Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Salary rangeGrade 1 as per Single Employer Collective Agreement pro-rated to hours worked.About usHealth New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand.
