About the Role & Company
We are partnering with a dynamic, rapidly growing financial services provider operating across New Zealand and Australia, who is seeking an experienced Pricing and Portfolio Optimisation Manager to join their team. You will take ownership of pricing strategies and help maximise returns across a range of financial products.
This is a newly created role reporting into the COO and working closely with the Head of Product. You will have the commercial acumen and ability to think strategically but also be able to step down into the day-to-day when required to build this team and function alongside the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of strategic pricing models to enhance profitability and meet financial benchmarks.
Build and present business cases for pricing initiatives to the leadership team based on thorough analysis of product performance and market trends.
Chair the Pricing Committee, ensuring informed and collaborative decision-making across the business.
Maintain high standards of compliance, risk management, and legal adherence, applying a strategic lens to ensure long-term sustainability.
Drive opportunities to maximise returns, identifying and acting on areas for improvement across products and business operations.
To Be Successful you will have:
Proven expertise in strategic pricing within the financial services sector, ideally with experience in consumer lending.
Strong financial modelling skills are a must, with the ability to develop and manage complex pricing models.
Skilled at engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions with clear, data-backed insights.
Willing to "roll up your sleeves" and work collaboratively with teams across the business.
CPA, CFA, Actuarial or similar qualification.
