About the Role:
We are seeking a courageous and articulate leader with a passion for primary prevention systems change to join our team as the Prevention & Partnerships Lead. In this role, you will create the vision for the Community-led Prevention Partner initiative team across the region. You will build and lead a dedicated team of primary prevention kaimahi, working with community and local leaders to enhance coordination and alignment of family violence and sexual violence prevention efforts.
You will be responsible for developing strong community relationships and mobilising key leaders to support the kaupapa. Your role will include overseeing the induction, recruitment, and development of team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to implement their responsibilities effectively. Additionally, you will lead evaluation, monitoring, and accountability processes, and represent the initiative within the region and in media engagements.
Whilst this role is predominantly based in Tauranga, there may be some requirement to travel as far down as Taupo and potential national travel.

What You Will Bring:
We are looking for someone with proven leadership experience in primary prevention or similar initiatives, who can lead teams in adaptive and changing environments. You should have strong relationship-building skills, effective communication abilities, and a good understanding of primary prevention systems and collective impact. Cultural competence and experience working with indigenous leadership and Te Tiriti o Waitangi are essential. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, a valid New Zealand driver's license, and the right to work in New Zealand are required. Employment is subject to a satisfactory National Police History check.
