Premier Girls Rugby Head Coach

Coaching & Instruction (Sport & Recreation)Mount Albert Grammar School is looking for a suitable and qualified person to be the head coach of our 1st XV Girls Rugby Team in 2025 in a voluntary capacity. The sport has had a strong history at the school where a number of former students have gone on to play in the NZ Women's Rugby competitions and represent NZ in the Black Ferns.Responsibilities will include:Preparing the team through taking trainings to play in competition fixturesSelecting the playing squad for the seasonCoaching the team throughout the College Sport Season and, if qualify for, at the National Top 4 TournamentLiaising with the Director of Rugby in regard to processes and any team updatesWorking within the school and competitions rules and regulationsThe suitable person should have the following:A strong knowledge of rugby through playing and/or coaching (experience in coaching teenagers is preferable)An ability to relate to teenagersAn ability to develop a strong team culture relating to the MAGS wayThe successful candidate will need to commit to at least 2 or 3 trainings a week, including pre-season and competition games.Please send your cover letter, CV, and completed Mount Albert Grammar School Staff Application Form (downloadable from the school website) to Sarah Hayes, email address: ******.
