Preconstruction Project Manager

The Company

This well-established main contractor has consistently delivered projects on quality and time throughout the BOP and Waikato. They are predominantly focussed on projects in the $5M - $40 region that are gained within design & build, the tender market and negotiated from existing clients. Their projects span industrial, retail, apartments, commercial, education, reclads, and healthcare. They are a streamlined contractor with a strong and positive culture.

Role

This is a role that has high input into the tendering process, ensuring constructability is sound and contributing significantly to ECI/D&B projects. It involves:
  Coordinating bid and tender submissions on price and non price Preparing construction and tender programmes Attending design meetings Contributing to buildability and construction methodologies Writing of methodologies and site management plans Ability to identify any value management opportunities. Stakeholder management between consultants, suppliers and the internal management team Your Background At least 10 years worked in commercial construction as a Project Manager with strong design & build/preconstruction and bid management experience. Strong experience writing detailed construction programmes. Tertiary qualified in construction or an earlier trade qualification Excellent understanding of contracts Experienced in writing technical methodologies. Strong relationship builder and a commercially astute operator Remuneration: $140K - $160K + vehicle
