Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a fulltime Graphics Clerk based in our Hamilton manufacturing plant.
This role is responsible for producing electronic artwork and colour separations for the flexographic printing process using mainstream graphics software applications. The successful applicant will meet customer needs by maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency. They will also provide assistance with plate mounting as required.
Responsibilities Create and convert artwork into graphics files suitable for use in manufacturing via electronic graphics applications in accordance with customer requirements, government regulations and either flexographic or digital printing specifications.Evaluate customer-supplied artwork for printability issues and revise files as necessary based on knowledge and understanding of the relevant printing process and its limitations.Interface with internal and external customers and partners with professionalism and diplomacy.Support Sales and internal partners in effective communication with customers to ensure technical and aesthetic quality of artwork.Respond to creative briefs creating visually compelling designs that effectively communicate to a specific audience.Provide graphic services support for printing applications including variable data and connected packaging design requirements.Liaise as necessary to identify priorities and schedules for artwork development.Develop illustrations, logos and other designs.Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic.Ensure product packaging adheres to all relevant industry and internal guidelines.Collaborate with colleagues to produce final design.Co-ordinate all approval processes.Test graphics across various media.Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.Ensure all artwork is developed and ready for use in line with production deadlines.Maintain an up-to-date database of all artworks.Support the onboarding of customers in Design Studio and other similar online graphic services.Person Profile The successful applicant will have: Proven, broad graphic designing experienceA strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphicsFamiliarity with design software and technologiesComputer literacy in various graphic applicationsRequisition id:46016
