Our extensive services span health, disability support, mental health & addictions, primary care, justice, corrections, housing, education, social services, reo irirangi Maori, and Whanau Ora.
With offices across Kawakawa, Whangarei, Kaikohe, Pakaraka, Moerewa, and Kaeo, we are a cornerstone of our community's health and wellbeing.
The Role: Practitioner He Kakano Ahau MHAOD The primary purpose of this role is to provide clinical oversight for the assessment (pre and post measures), treatment plan and reviews as well as delivering evidence informed therapy/treatments as agreed in the treatment plan to taitamariki.
This includes: Providing easy navigation of taitamariki to interventions via a Youth Worker, Providing early intervention for mental health issues, Providing brief intervention and treatment for taitamariki in distress, Improving access to existing services for taitamariki, Improve geographical cover for all areas particularly where there are gaps of service provision and the isolation of rurality.
This role will also require clinical support for taitamariki who may suffer from episodic, severe and complex needs and will also require that those needs are attended to effectively by Kaupapa Maori practices incorporating Whanau Ora best practice principles.
A fundamental characteristic of this role is the essentiality of teamwork and the effective referral of clients to other Trust Services or to the effective Services of other Agencies.

What You Bring Professional Registration: Registered health professional with current practicing certificate and registered with full membership to a professional body.
Relevant post-graduate qualification or working towards completing.
Evidence of talking therapies professional developmentTherapeutic Expertise: Training in therapies such as ACT, FACT, or CBT.
Evidence of talking therapies professional development.Team Spirit: Self-motivated and independent, yet thrive in a collaborative environment.Adaptability: Comfortable working in the dynamic setting of Mental Health and Addictions.Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to working with all cultures, particularly Maori.
