This role involves developing high quality management and organizational oversight of practicum teaching and learning in the practicum environment in collaboration with practicum partners, to enable students to gain an understanding of, and ability to apply their knowledge and skills to meet the practicum requirements of the curriculum and for Registered Nurse registration.The appointing salary for this role will be between $90,000 and $120,000, dependent on skills and experience.The Nursing Practicum Manager is based in our EIT | Te Pukenga reporting to the Head of School/ Assistant Head of School and will be responsible for:Liaising with Unit Managers, Team Leaders, Registered Nurses and Health Professionals as appropriate in arranging appropriate akonga placement in Te Whatu Ora Hawkes Bay and other practicum venues.Planning practicum which reflects a carefully coordinated approach that meets the Nursing Council requirements.Contract negotiations with Practicum partners.Practicum delivery plans which are consistent with programme aims, philosophy, curricular approach, clinical contracts, policies and procedures.To be successful in this role you will have:A New Zealand Registered Comprehensive, General or General and Obstetric Nursing, required.Bachelor's Degree with a nursing focus, required.Post Graduate Diploma, required.Minimum three years nursing practice in New Zealand, and current annual practicing certificate, required.Wide range and up-to-date nursing practice experiences, required.An understanding of Te Kawa Whakaruruhau principles of cultural safety, and a commitment to the development of a culturally sensitive working and learning environment, required.For more information please view the Position Description below.Me pehea te tono | How to applyAs a responsible employer and education provider, EIT | Te Pukenga is committed to the protection of children and vulnerable persons and applies relevant policy and practice to meet this commitment.
