At the NHC, we take pride in contributing to a more equitable society and furthering whanau/family wellbeing and prosperity for primarily underserved groups.An opportunity has opened for an Auckland-based Practice Support Nurse within our Primary Health Networks Team reporting to the Primary Care Operations Lead - Northern. The role will be focused on the clinical and nursing side of supporting our general practices across various projects, audits, quality, education, general support and continued relationship building within our network. Clinical services may be provided to our enrolled population from time to time.We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a mix of the following skills and experience:An experienced Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing CertificateStrong working knowledge of General Practice and Primary HealthcareImproving health outcomes and reducing inequalities with a focus on Maori healthCommunication skills and relationship building skills and the ability to pass on your nursing knowledge and guidanceProficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)Proficient with some primary health care software including: Mohio, Medtech-32, MedTech Evolution, MyPractice, Profile, Indici and others.Experience with primary care programmes including clinical audits and patient management reporting, quality Cornerstone and Foundation accreditation standards, System Level Measures (SLM), National Enrolment System (NES), Patient Experience Survey (PES) and other PHO/Te Whatu Ora programmesAuthorised vaccinatorCervical screentaker would benefit but not essential.You will also need to be comfortable working in a Maori-led environment. We have a very strong customer service focus and you'll interact with our practices face-to-face and via phone, email and video conference. Access to company pool vehicles and a laptop/cellphone will be supplied. This is a full-time permanent position homed at our Auckland office (but 80%+ with regular travel required to various providers within our Auckland network).
