South Coast Medical Group is an award-winning NHS Primary Care Home, comprising six GP surgery locations in the Bournemouth general area and serving over 50,000 patients in total.

It also enables us to employ a significant multi-disciplinary team including Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics (for pre-assessment screening and home visits) all of whom reduce the clinical workload for GPs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Practice Nurse to join our Network, 30-37.5 hours per week based at the Grove Surgery Christchurch.
The ideal candidates will have recent experience within a Primary Care setting, be adaptable, highly motivated and relish a challenge. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team who value teamwork, professional practice, mutual support and a friendly working environment.
The post holder will be an experienced Practice Nurse who will be a role model to team members. The post holder will demonstrate a high level of professional and clinical practice and leadership and Work in accordance with the NMC Code. As the Lead Nurse for the nursing team, the post holder is accountable for nursing service delivery. They will lead and manage all the nursing resource, working closely with the Practice Supervisors and GPs to deliver the practice priorities. Clinically, the focus of the role is the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients with long-term conditions and management and preventative nursing interventions to all patients. The Lead Nurse is responsible for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making. They will work collaboratively with the whole general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing leadership and direction for the nursing team.

Pay: £22.30-£24.34 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
