Due to growth, a full time Practice Nurse Lead position has become available to join our Bupa Health Centres team. With flexibility to work from home or our CBD office, this role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
As a Senior Practice Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operation of Bupa Health Care Centers network. You will lead, supervise, and manage practice nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care and achieving clinical operation KPIs. As an integral part of the healthcare team, this role focuses on contributing to the delivery of holistic care to patients at Healthcare Centres.
What will your day look like: Operational Management Lead, mentor, and support practice nurses across Bupa's Healthcare Centres. Attend site visits, as required to ensure effective team functioning and high standards of patient care are being delivered. Develop and implement clinical protocols and procedures to enhance efficiency and care delivery. Staff Supervision and Leadership Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff. Ensure effective management and leadership practices are adhered to, in order to embed the Bupa Leadership framework within the Centre. Financial Management: Collaborate with the Practice Manager to develop and manage efficient nursing resources and clinical aspects of P&L. Collaborate with the Practice Manager to monitor and meet clinical KPI's. Patient and Customer Relations: Oversee the delivery of patient-centred care, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction. Assist practices in planning and delivering continuous quality improvement activities and initiatives through the review of systems and procedures to ensure efficient and accessible care. Technology and Systems: Promote the use of healthcare technology and systems to enhance patient care in line with all relevant Bupa Policies & Procedures. Ensure nursing staff are proficient in using patient management system (PMS) and other relevant healthcare technologies. Compliance and Regulation: Responsible for meeting clinical aspects of RACGP accreditation & Infection Control standards in Healthcare Centres. Ensure all Practice nurses are working within their scope of practice and the Healthcare centre's clinical governance framework. Strategic Planning and Development: Contribute to the strategic planning process, providing insights and recommendations for clinical services in Health Centers. Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical outcomes and achieve clinic goals. What you will bring: Full and unrestricted AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2-3 years in a general practice leadership or managerial role. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards. Detailed understanding and awareness of Medicare Benefits Scheme and Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme Proficiency in patients' management systems and healthcare technology. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desirable) Additional qualifications relevant to primary health Eg. Nurse Immuniser, Nurse Cervical Screening Provider (desirable) Why work at Bupa?
