Building strong relationships with stakeholders will be essential as you develop a strategic approach that aligns our initiatives with Auckland Council's vision and the dynamic needs of our community. Join us to make a meaningful impact and drive our success forward—while having fun along the way!Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Oversee and manage a team of platform engineers - providing guidance, coaching, mentorship, and support.Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of work within the Practice and adherence to best practices.Process Improvement: Implement and optimise product management processes, methodologies, and frameworks.Talent Development: Recruit, hire, and develop software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Performance Management: Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews for team members.Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and encourage continuous learning across the Practice.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.Practice Strategy: Establish and maintain a practice strategy that balances the business's current and future needs of the practice with the sourcing and talent management approach.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related experience or field.Proven experience as a Practice Manager or similar leadership role (5+ years) and can manage teams of greater than 30 people.Strong understanding of platforms including SAP, Salesforce, Mulesoft and know what good platform engineering is.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve high performance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.If you are a dedicated and visionary Practice Manager ready to shape the future of Auckland Council's technology services, we encourage you to apply.
