You will managethe business aspect of the surgery, making sure that Practice patients are atthe centre of the surgery's operations.A Practice Managermust maintain a happy and committed GP practice teamExperienceof senior healthcare administration and management is desirable for thisposition. An understanding of currentNHS initiatives and organisational structures would be advantageous.They are responsiblefor implementing policies and procedures to make sure the GP practice iscompliant and fit for purposePractice Managers also manage thepractices staff and budgets, and ensure the practice has all the necessaryresources to operate effectively.A GPsurgery is a patient's first and most frequent point of contact with the NHSand you'll be responsible for its smooth running.Ensuring accurate records are kept, and liaisingwith local health organisations such as Integrated Care Boards and NHSE.A Managersrole may include :Agreeing and managingthe practice budget along with the Partners.Submitting timelyfinancial claims and timely data.Ensuring the qualityof the services offered to patients.Recruiting, trainingand managing administrative staff - Reception manager will assist the PM andoversee training schedule and training needs of new receptionists once all HRdocumentation has been actioned.Overseeing patientrecords.Ensuring theappointments system runs smoothly with the support of an admin team.Monitoring patientsatisfaction, and handling patients negative feedback and any complaints.Practice Manager's must maintain a happyand committed GP practice team- They are responsible for implementing policies and procedures to make surethe GP practice iscompliant and fit for purposeThey should have a good relationshipwith staff thats based on trust and engagement. The level of communicationshould be very good, the manager should know whats going on, when, where, andwhy.Equally, members of staff should knowwhere they stand and be up to date with whats going on in the practice. Themanager should support the team, with what they want them to do.You will work with other team membersto improve quality of service and efficiency within the practice.Practice Managersmust have an exceptional work ethic.
