Our Opportunity:
We have an opportunity to join our Maintenance Team who are continuously improving Mercury's generation assets across the Waikato and Taupo regions. As our company continues to evolve, you'll have excellent opportunities to continue your career through development and progression - while also enjoying a work/life balance.

You will be joining the Hydro Maintenance Team who are spread across the Waikato River and made up of Electrical & Mechanical Maintainers/Maintenance Technicians and Trade Assistants. This role also will have a vehicle to allow you to travel between sites.

Key Accountabilities:

Maintaining facilities in accordance with Mercury policies and practices and environmental principles.

Maintaining Generation assets to ensure they are able to meet client and market requirements.

Assistance to develop and manage yearly station outage and work programmes to meet targets.

Improvement of Preventative Maintenance strategies are developed and elevated for improvement opportunities.

What we are looking for:

Qualified, experienced and motivated Electrical tradespeople, experience working in a high voltage plant.

Experience and qualifications with instrumentation and protection systems.

Experience carrying out HV testing.

Relevant experience within plant operations / process control or maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy process industry.

New Zealand certificate in electrical supply (Power Technician) level 5 is an advantage.

Extensive experience with plant operations, process control or maintenance experience in the electricity supply, manufacturing or process industry.

Electrical maintenance of geothermal/hydro generation assets would be desirable.
