A community trust owned electricity distributor operating in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, headquartered in Whakatane; with subsidiary electrical, contracting and refrigeration businesses based across New Zealand.ElectiNET is recruiting for a Power Capex Coordinator to join our growing team in the Gisborne area.
This position is permanent full-time, Minimum 40 hours per week.The Purpose Of This Role Is ToBe responsible for delivering the profitability of the business unit.Effectively coordinate and lead the day-to-day operations of the Field Services teams, to ensure works are completed on time and to budget.Coordinate the planning, technical advice, technical documentation and technical resources to ensure the successful delivery of all contracts/projects under one's responsibility.Manage the coordination and scheduling of the delivery of all works and contracts/projects for the Network operations and external customers.Ensure compliance with customer Service Level Agreement KPI's as agreed with the Utilities Manager Network.Drive and deliver a culture of Safety Leadership.Build strong long-term relationships with our customers ensuring excellent customer service and technical support.Reporting to the Utilities Manager, you will be part of a motivated team responsible for providing field-based technical and fitting services for network and private contracts and projects.To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:Registered Electrician or Line Mechanic with current Practising LicenceElectrical Trade CertificateLive Line experience would be an advantage but not essentialCurrent Unrestricted Manual NZ Drivers Licence5 to 10 years in associated activitiesGood understanding of network systems analysisGood knowledge of VHF/UHF radio operating systems and subsequent maintenance requirementsGood knowledge of IP based technologyThorough knowledge of the circuit breaker servicing and maintenance requirementsThorough knowledge of protection design schemes and subsequent testing requirementsThorough knowledge of and ability to plan the installation and maintenance of radio and fibre optic communications systems, computers, protection of HV transformers and switchgear, load control and SCADA equipment, including all Zone Substation equipmentAbility to drive a project from conceptualisation through planning to completion meeting all time and monetary requirementsFlexible attitude and approach to workProvide innovative solutions to improve quality and minimise waste in both time and materialsCustomer service orientation both internal and externalExternal awareness towards customer needs and impacts of outages both planned and unplannedExercise good judgement towards business activities, identify risks and potential issues in relation to Company performance both technically and commercially.The Horizon Energy Group takes pride in its commitment to the health and safety of all its stakeholders and bases all its activities on safety leadership, risk management and worker participation as premise.To support this, you will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, sound industry and product knowledge, be safety focused at all times, possess a high degree of initiative, able to think clearly under pressure and most of all be a team player.Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.We can offer a challenging position with a competitive remuneration.Applications close on Friday, 31 January 2025.Applications Close: 31 Jan 2025
