You understand that locally led solutions are required; that the answers lie within us all.The role will focus on:Upholding the intent of Rukutia te Mana; our settlement framework.Undertaking a Whanau Ora approach in working across our community.Leading initiatives and projects related to wellbeing; recognising the vital role that whenua plays in this.Building relationships with stakeholders to enhance the aspirations of Ngati Rangi.We are looking for someone who has:Qualifications in social policy; community development; or local government.Experience in people management, understanding your team dynamics with the ability to guide them in achieving their individual and collective goals.Exceptional communication skills, ability to engage and communicate with people across all levels – knows how to tell a great story.Demonstrate the ability in embracing change, think outside the box and to work within current frameworks.Project management experience.Ability to analyse and solve complex problems, form judgements, and provide advice and recommendations.Ability to broker relationships with a range of stakeholders and come up with innovative ways to give effect to the aspirations of Ngati Rangi.Ability or developing competency in te reo Maori, tikanga, ability to work alongside and implement our Ngati Rangi way.Above all, you will be someone who demonstrates resilience, embraces change, and has a passion for our whanau. We will also consider the "right person" who is a lateral thinker with a relevant qualification and experience in a related field looking to move into management.This is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week) position where applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
