Full timeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pou Putea to join our finance team. You will be responsible for managing financial systems across all Te Kahui o Taranaki Iwi entities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, and Finance functions. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesManagement of the trusts finance systemsAssist the preparation of annual budgetsProducing financial reports related to budgets, accounts payables, accounts receivables, expenses, funding etc.Prepare and file GST and tax returns.Managing the organisations payroll and employee recordsAssist with the preparation of funding applications and subsequent reportingAssisting Taranaki Iwi marae pa with Xero processing, year-end financial, distributions and loansPrepare records for year-end reportingLiaise with trust accountants and auditorsCompleting relevant sections of the annual report.Ko wai koe | About YouMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, a tertiary qualification in accounting, desired. CPA or CA qualification good to have.Strong proficiency in bookkeeping.Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS Excel.Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organisational skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.Te Kahui o Taranaki Trust is the Post-Settlement Governance Entity (PSGE) for Taranaki Iwi.
