About the role He Puna Marama Trust is seeking an experienced Corporate Compliance and Trust Manager (Pou Arataki) to join their team in Whangarei, Central Northland.
This full-time role integrates corporate governance with trust management, ensuring the smooth administration of trust-related activities while supporting the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
Core responsibilities include annual planning, staffing, trust administration, policy development, finance, HR, IT systems, and property management.
The position requires a proactive and experienced leader to enhance team performance, ensure effective corporate governance and operational frameworks.
What you'll be doing Developing, implementing and maintaining compliance systems and processes to ensure the Trust operates within all legal and regulatory requirementsProviding strategic advice and guidance to the Trust's leadership team on compliance mattersOverseeing the effective management of the Trust's resources, including financial, operational and human resourcesEnsuring the Trust's policies, procedures and practices align with its mission, values and strategic objectivesIdentifying and mitigating potential risks to the Trust's operationsFostering a culture of compliance, accountability and continuous improvement within the organisationRepresenting the Trust in external forums and liaising with regulatory bodies as requiredWhat we're looking for Ideally with a Bachelor of Accounting, Master of Accounting or a Master of Business Administration (MBA)Extensive experience in a similar compliance or trust management roleThorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and compliance requirements applicable to the Trust's operationsProven track record in developing and implementing effective systems and processesStrong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risksExcellent communication and management skills, with the ability to influence and build trustDemonstrated leadership skills and the ability to foster a culture of compliance and accountabilityCommitment to the Trust's mission, values and strategic objectivesWhat we offer We offer a competitive remuneration package, ample opportunities for professional development, and a supportive, inclusive work environment where your leadership can truly make an impact.
