The Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies is seeking to appoint the ideal candidate for the Postgraduate Office Lead position. The Postgraduate Office Lead is a key member of the Faculty Postgraduate Office, holding an advanced understanding of postgraduate student administration, systems, and processes to provide high-level support to the Postgraduate Manager and guidance to the postgraduate office. The Postgraduate Office Lead works closely with the Postgraduate Manager to maintain oversight of the Faculty's postgraduate committees, systems and processes, as well as providing support and guidance to the postgraduate team.Postgraduate Office Lead must be able to follow and accurately interpret established postgraduate guidelines and procedures to ensure staff and students are provided with well-considered and accurate advice. A highly critical, analytical, and methodical approach is essential in adequately assessing the requirements of a wide range of complex student problems which often don't sit within a standard procedural framework. A calm and professional manner whilst juggling and completing multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment is essential to managing the pressured and varied demands of the role.The successful candidate will:Have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to be able to maintain and build effective working relationships with various departments across the University.Be flexible and adaptable in their approach to working with students and staff.Be a strong team player but also have the initiative and confidence to work independently and with minimal direction.Have experience working in tertiary education and possess an in-depth understanding of the university sector, with comprehensive knowledge of its operations and processes.Demonstrate strong analytical and methodical skills, with keen attention to detail, while maintaining the ability to see and consider the broader context.Navigate the complexities of the role and the intricacies of the Faculty's postgraduate programmes, regulations, systems, and administrative processes.Salary Range: $88,000 - $107,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)Reference: 90134Closing Date: 2 September 2024, 11:55pm*Full-time denotes 37.5 hours per weekAt AUT we strive to be a place where people love to work and learn.
