About the role

Stop is looking for a Specialist Clinician, to join our Adolescent Service in Christchurch. The role will be between 32-40 hours per week.

The role involves the delivery of therapeutic assessment and intervention for adolescents who have been referred for harmful sexual behaviour. We use a strengths-based trauma-informed, psychosocial framework to provide a combination of individual, group therapy and family support with government and community agencies, as required.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes, skills, and experience:

Qualification in counselling, social work, psychology or equivalent.

Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Strong knowledge of te ao Maori values will be an advantage.

Experience working with HSB and issues related to trauma is preferred but not essential.

An ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and work professionally alongside other social service agencies.

Excellent communication, relationship and organisational skills and enjoys contributing to a strong and reflective team.
