Te ahuatunga a te turanga / About the role The Portfolio Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the Portfolio Manager and ensuring smooth coordination across the portfolio. You will set up and manage systems to track project progress and ensure everything aligns with business policies and quality standards. In this role, you'll provide secretariat support for committees and may also manage smaller projects as needed. You'll help maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and make sure relevant initiatives are well-coordinated. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodology Lead teams through change with confidence and clarity, while shaping the path in uncertain and evolving culture Be able to adapt your approach to inspire and support team members with different working styles. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Scheduler, Visio, email), and research tools like the internet and databases. Proven ability to build effective relationships at all levels within the Ministry, and with external agencies or clients, with strong communication skills (written and verbal) adaptable to different audiences. Experience working well in a team, showing initiative, and adapting to change while solving problems and addressing challenges proactively.
