The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with all providers including Maori and Pacific Health Providers, Practice Nurses (PNs), General Practitioners (GPs), Community Pharmacy, communities, and appropriate secondary specialist health services to work towards achieving equitable health outcomes for people in Otago and Southland.
The person in this position will improve health outcomes for individuals, families/whanau, and communities by working in partnership to inform, support to self-manage, plan for, and implement appropriate health care changes for people in underserved communities in Southern.
To be successful in this role, you will: Have a Bachelor of Pharmacy (NZ), or equivalent.Post-graduate Clinical Pharmacy qualification.Registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand holding a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with no restrictions.Awareness and understanding of the implications of the Treaty of Waitangi to WellSouth as a public health organisation.At least 5 years' post-registration experience.Current Driver's Licence.In-depth knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical services.Ability to identify trends in individual patient data, including appropriate application of equity-focused approaches to guide best practice prescribing.Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.Our Values - To Matou Uara He mana to te whanau – Whanau CentredTokeke - EquitableManawa whakaute - RespectfulPono – TransparentFor the full Position Description click here: Position Description Please note that we don't always work to fixed closing dates & may interview candidates as their applications are received.
