This is a great learning and skill building opportunity, and a once in a lifetime career opportunity.We have notified a Proposed District Plan, receiving over 550 original submissions and hearings will be starting shortly. Over 20 hearings will take place and we are also about to do a variation to the Plan. This is the first time the District Plan has been reviewed in its entirety since the current Plan was notified in 2000. A lot has changed since then, and there are some key challenges and opportunities that the district needs to plan for. This means you will have the opportunity to work on and lead resource management topics through the hearing process and any subsequent appeals.
