Policy Analyst, Health of Disabled People Policy at Ministry of Health, WellingtonThe Health of Disabled People Policy team has a permanent, fulltime vacancy in the Wellington office.
Part of the Ministry's Strategy, Policy and legislation directorate, the team leads and advises on disability policy to improve health outcomes for disabled people. With an ambitious new work programme focused on key systemic shifts, the role involves preparing and providing input to policy documents; undertaking peer reviews of documents; contributing to the team; and influencing other Ministry work programmes.
This role has a salary midpoint of $85,578. Appointments will be based on individual experience.
Minimum RequirementsTertiary qualification in a health or relevant field and/or equivalent experienceExperience applying policy analysis, critical thinking, and using sound judgement to develop options and provide adviceStrong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor complex messages to a range of audiencesExcellent interpersonal skillsAt Manatu Hauora – Ministry of Health we are the kaitiaki of the health system, providing leadership and driving strategy and performance.
