Our Policy team has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, talented and professional policy person to join at either an Advisor or Senior Advisor level. Working with us means you will be a part of a team of trusted advisors within the Strategy and Governance Group that has a reputation of providing credible advice to senior management and councillors to drive, develop and deliver pivotal policy decisions, providing the link between the Council's strategy and its implementation.
This role will give you the opportunity to lead policy projects and provide high quality analysis, information and advice within the team and across the Council. The policy programme is broad, developing policies and regulatory settings to support city strategies. You will need to understand the regulatory context of local authorities, the issue that is under discussion, the relationship with local communities and iwi partners, and provide advice that enables sound decision making to support the Council's desired outcomes.
