Te Haeata/The OpportunityAre you motivated by driving positive change in Aotearoa New Zealand's courts and wider justice system to provide people with faster, easier access to justice?
If so, we want to hear from you!We have an Advisor (Level 2) role available in the Courts Stewardship Team, where you will work with others to resolve complex and challenging issues, and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
The Courts Stewardship Team was set up in 2022 to develop, test, and implement a best practice approach to regulatory stewardship in the courts and tribunals systems, with an eye to what will also work across the Ministry's other regulatory systems.
The team plays a role in capacity building to grow the Ministry's stewardship capability, connecting with the inter-agency regulatory stewardship community, and running regular Regulatory Systems Amendment Bills.

Do you have knowledge of machinery of Government and public policy?A legal or courts background, or experience with regulatory stewardship or legislative processes would be an advantage but is not required.

Utu a-tau/SalaryThe appointing salary for this role will be between $83,562 and $107,862 based on skills and experience.
