Policy Advisor

As a government entity, Sport New Zealand Ihi Aotearoa is proud to be the guardian of our country's play, active recreation and sporting system, from grassroots to elite sport. We do this through partnerships with national sport and recreation organisations, regional sports trusts, central government bodies, councils and other key stakeholders.
Reporting to the Group Policy Manager, the Policy Advisor provides high-quality policy advice and expertise that meets the needs of a variety of critical stakeholders, including the Minister and Boards and Senior Leadership Teams of the Sport NZ Group.
The successful individual will have demonstrated ability to provide high-quality policy advice that meets the needs of Ministers and other critical stakeholders with excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The Policy team provides a mix of both operational and strategic advice.
