You'll ensure strategic policy aligns with the strategic direction of the organisation and will work across council advising on and entrenching policy.The role will involve:Anticipating and identifying emerging issues, trends and problemsContributing to the community submission processes including advocacy, data gathering and analysisLeading the review and making of bylawsDeveloping high-quality policy advice for Councillors, the Chief Executive, and the Executive Leadership teamWorking with key internal stakeholders to help translate our strategic and planning documents into actionManaging progress using the Council's systems and processes for monitoring, measuring, reporting, risk identification and management, and quality assuranceWhat you'll bring to the role / Ko wai to PukekaYou'll have a qualification in Public Policy or Public Management and will have worked within the field for a number of years.
