Come and join the BEC to advocate for better policy outcomes and more system thinking within the energy sector.Responsibilities:Working with the BEC Executive Director to influence New Zealand's policy agenda in energy and participate in consultations to better inform officials, business leaders, and MPs to create a more sustainable, affordable, and secure energy system (the Energy Trilemma Framework).Investigating and analysing data to support evidence-based decision-making.Preparing submissions on relevant policy issues and insight papers on energy.Involvement in our energy future thinking work programme.Helping the sector through events, workshops, and energy news updates.Engaging with relevant stakeholders and members, including businesses, policy makers, and academia on relevant policy and energy issues.To be successful in this role you will be:Ideally a graduate in economics, commerce, or policy.A self-starter who is interested in energy and climate change.Experienced in the development of policy and/or advocacy.Possessing excellent written and communication skills.Experienced in the analysis of quantitative and qualitative information, its interpretation, and identification of trends.Let us know if you would like to discuss this opportunity further.
