Tarora is a remote private estate in the beautiful Fiordland region, close to the township of Te Anau. We are a truly stunning property with a number of exciting construction and development projects planned in Summer / Autumn 2024.
We are actively seeking a Plumber to join our team, supporting our onsite construction & property maintenance teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work hands-on for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
Apply plumbing techniques to ensure top-quality workmanship.
Prepare tools, materials, and equipment required for plumbing projects.
Read and interpret plumbing blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately, ensuring all work complies with these documents and associated regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot and identify solutions for complex plumbing issues.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work site, tools, and equipment.
Follow company policies, regulations, and industry standards rigorously.
Diagnose issues, propose effective solutions, and execute repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring safety during all plumbing tasks, including piping, drainage, and installation of plumbing fixtures.
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
Requirements
Any level of experience is welcomed.
Extensive knowledge of plumbing materials and methods.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in interpreting designs, plans, and instructions.
Strong familiarity with building and safety industry standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical fitness and reasonable strength, as lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces may be required.
Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality.
