Bay of Plenty will be the predominant area of work for this role – however, you may also be required to work in the Waikato and Hawkes Bay Regions.
This will be discussed further with the successful applicant.Responsibilities:We are looking for Plumbers with background knowledge and experience with the following (but are not limited to):Studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials requiredSetting out and installing hot and cold water systems and associated equipmentInstalling water-based fire protection systems, including fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler systemsDesigning and installing sanitary plumbing and water supply systems, discharge pipes, and sanitary fixturesFabricating and installing soil and waste stacksAssembling and installing mechanical services plant, air handling and conditioning equipment, and small bore heating systemsInstalling sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systemsInstalling below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support systemsInstalling gas appliances, flues, and pressure regulating devicesFabricating and installing metal roofing, rainwater goods, and flashingsMinimum Requirements:Ideally, you will be or have:Minimum 3+ years' experienceTrade qualifications preferred; however, scope and length of plumbing experience may substitute for the formal qualificationRelevant NZ PGDB License preferredYour own toolsOwn reliable transportAt least 2 work references100% commitment to Health & SafetyAble to pass a pre-employment drug testClass 1 preferred but not essentialIn return, we offer competitive rates of pay, varied and challenging work, regular hours with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, as well as long-term opportunities.Minimum pay range $28-$35 depending on experience.
