You'll be responsible for ensuring all our playground equipment is installed, not just as directed, but to the highest standard. You'll surpass client expectations, elevate our playground construction, and ensure every site is presented with professionalism. When required, you'll pitch in to help assist with playground repairs and/or installation. You'll be invested in the industry we operate in, staying up to date on current New Zealand Playground Standards. You'll also be a role model to the junior members of our team, overseeing installation by junior playground installers, assisting with training, and of course leading by example, with respect, empathy, and humour!What the job involvesAs a Playground Lead Installer, you'll be responsible for:Ensuring the highest levels of quality and workmanship are obtained and best trade practices are adhered to at all timesSeeing that all playgrounds are completed as per scheduled installation timeframesCarrying out follow-up checks on installed playground equipmentKeeping sites, vehicles, and our workshop clean, tidy, and presentableCommunicating with the management team on the progress of playground installation projects that are running smoothly or are behind scheduleWhat skills and experience do you need?To be a successful Playground Lead Installer/Site Foreman you will need the ability to prioritise workloads to keep different projects on schedule, excellent interpersonal skills to get the best out of your team, and an unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship.You will need to:Have a valid and clean NZ Driver's LicenseBe self-motivated and able to work unsupervisedBe a team playerTake instruction and be adaptableBe fit and healthy and capable of carrying out a wide range of workBe willing to participate in Health and Safety conversationsBe willing to travel throughout New Zealand and be away from home for periods of time (usually only a week or two).
